Key Project Management Staff

Below is a listing of our key project management staff. This illustrates how Maron Construction is a “close-knit” family type operation where the principles take a much larger role than what would normally be expected. Maron Construction has a qualified support staff that has been together for several years thus creating a camaraderie that is very rare in this business. Weekly project meetings take place with the entire project team to discuss each and every ongoing project in order to brainstorm and problem solve a particular project, should the need arise.


James Maron - Chief Executive Officer

James is the founder of Maron Construction. He has worked in the
construction industry for over fifty (50) years both in the field and
in the office as estimator and project manager.

 

David J. Maron - Vice President/Project Manager

David is responsible for the overall field operation and jobsite safety. He
is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts and
has worked in the construction industry for over twenty-five (25) years. He
has served in various capacities on both the local and national level of the
Associated General Contractors of America including the role of President
of the Rhode Island chapter. He is also the company’s union representative
with the various trade unions including the Laborers and the Carpenters
Unions.

Thomas J. Maron - Vice President/Chief Estimator/Project Manager

Thomas is the chief estimator for the company and oversees the management
of the home office staff. He is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of
Technology with a Civil Engineering Degree. He has worked in the
construction industry for over twenty-five (25) years. His duties include
negotiations with owners and architects, drafting of subcontracts, and
overall management of several ongoing projects.

Jayne M. Mardo - Vice President/Controller

Jayne is the Chief Financial Officer of the company. She is a graduate of
Bryant College with an accounting major and also of Rhode Island College
where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has worked in the
construction industry for over twenty-five (25) years. Jayne is in charge
of all financial and fiscal decisions for the company.

David P. Coppola - Quality Control Officer/Assistant Project Manager

David is the Quality Control Manager as well as the Safety Officer for the
Company. He also serves as an assistant project manager. David is
responsible for several key projects for the company. He has worked
in the construction industry for over twenty (20) years.

Thomas A. Mello - Estimator

Thomas is the assistant estimator for the company. He is responsible
for the quantity take-off of all aspects of a project. He is a graduate of
Southeastern Massachusetts University with a degree in Construction
Management. He has worked in the construction industry for over
twenty-five (25) years.

Steven M. Grande - Expediter

Steven is the expediter and subcontractor procurement manager. He is
responsible for purchasing and procuring subcontractors and suppliers
for a project from the bidding stage to the eventual contract award. He
is also responsible for reviewing submittals and submitting them to the
Owner for approval. He is a graduate of Roger Williams College with a
Degree in Construction Technology. He has worked in the construction
industry for over twenty-five (25) years.

Vanessa A. Ferrara - Payroll Specialist

Vanessa is in charge of all payroll activities including processing the weekly
payroll, submitting payroll affidavits for the company and its
subcontractors. She directly assists Jayne Mardo in all accounting
procedures for the company. She is a graduate of the University of South
Florida with a bachelor of science degree. She has worked in the
construction industry for over five (5) years.

Melodie Thomas - Secretary

Melodie is the lead clerical person for the entire office. She serves as
the company’s receptionist. She has worked for the company for
over five (5) years.

Site Superintendents

Maron Construction has at least nine (9) experienced, full time
Superintendents. All of them have at least twenty (20) years
experience in the construction industry as Supervisors and
Quality Control Officers. Guy Colontonio, Ron DeFrancesco,
Marc Allaire
and David Barrett are four of our site
superintendents who have vast experience performing
multi-dsiciplined/multi-task orders for federal, state and local
government agencies.
